Viewers are tripping out over the 11th episode of Evil, Room 320

While tonight’s episode of Evil was fictional, the disparity in how African Americans are treated for pain is real.

All the patients were black this week on this episode of Evil. Black patients regularly receive sub-standard care. The issue was highlighted on Evil.

Evil replicated the phenomenology of David’s consciousness as he drifts btw. drug-induced hallucinations, dreams & the frightening reality of psychopath nurse Bloch. It really heightened the horror mood & the hospital became this liminal purgatory space.

Evil experiments with a lot of formalist elements (cinematography, editing, sfx design, etc.) and it really sets it apart from other “mainstream” network shows, in addition to its multidisciplinary approach to “evil” (psychological/religious/scientific)
