A pedestrian walkway at Florida International University collapsed onto the road below. There are reports of multiple injuries and cars trapped in the rubble.

The walkway was just completed earlier this week and it just collapsed. We have yet to find out the cause of the collapse.

We know the bridge wasn’t opened to pedestrians for crossing yet, injuries are coming from cars crushed by the collapse.

The 174-foot bridge according to @FIU is the largest in U.S. history with Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SMPTs). The part of the bridge that was up weighs 950 tons.

They are also construction workers stuck underneath the bridge we hope everybody makes it out alive.

They are total of 8 vehicles stuck underneath the bridge and 8 people have been transported to the hospital.

Doctors and nurses are officially on the scene to help victims from this accident.

When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new surveys are added- checkbox and from now on whenever a comment is added I am four emails sticking with the same comment. Perhaps there is any way you can get rid of me from that service? Thanks!
