Elaine Thompson-Herah Breaks Florence Griffith Joyner’s 33-Year-Old 100M Olympic Record

Elaine Thompson-Herah of Jamaica breaks Florence Griffith Joyner’s 33-year-old Olympic record in the women’s 100 meters with a time of 10.61. That’s the 2nd fastest 100m to ever be run by a woman. She broke FloJo’s 100m Olympic record, which stood since the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Thompson will need shave more seconds off her time to break FloJo’s world record, which currently stands at 10.49 seconds in the 100 meters.
