A video of a man seen getting beaten up by officials is making its rounds on social media. The man was identified as 27-year-old Randy Worcester. In the video, you can see officials holding him down on the ground, kneeling on him, and slamming his face to the ground.
The officials responded to a call about Randy Worcester making threats and spiting on a convenience store employee, according to Sheriff Jimmy Damante with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. Worcester reportedly fled the scene on a bike, but officials caught up to him quickly.
The conversation between Worcester and the officials began smoothly until Worcester reportedly pushed one of the deputies and then punched him in the back of the head, which led to the brutalization seen in the video.
Two Crawford County Deputies and Mulberry Police Officer that was seen in the video beating Randy Worcester were suspended.
Arkansas State Police are now investigating the incident while CCSO holds an internal investigation.
