On Sunday, Karim Benzema, a Real Madrid legend, expressed his support for Palestinians in Gaza through a post on the social media platform X.

“All our prayers for the inhabitants of Gaza who are once again victims of these unjust bombings which spare no women or children,” wrote the Ballon d’Or winner.

The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, carried out a comprehensive attack on Israel on October 7th.

The operation, named Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, involved a surprise attack from multiple directions, including launching rockets and infiltrating Israel through land, sea, and air.

Hamas stated that the operation was carried out as a response to the incursion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and the escalating aggression of Israeli settlers toward Palestinians.

The Israeli military initiated Operation Swords of Iron to target Hamas within the Gaza Strip.

The response from Israel includes cutting off water and electricity supplies to Gaza, which has further deteriorated the living conditions in an area that has been under a crippling siege since 2007.

Additionally, they have issued an evacuation order for over 1 million Gazans residing in the northern Strip to relocate to the southern region.

According to the local Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians who have been killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza has now reached 2,670 as of Sunday.

According to the ministry’s statement, 750 children were among the deceased, while the number of injured has increased to 9,600.

In the meantime, Israel has recorded a general death toll of 1,300, with over 3,400 confirmed injuries among Israelis.

Palestinians need to get rid of Hamas and other terrorist groups; then, they’d have a country.
