‘Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.’ follows Regina Hall as First Lady Trinitee Childs and Sterling K. Brown as Pastor Lee-Curtis Childs.
The Southern Baptist Mega Church couple is in a media frenzy that jeopardizes the church and their livelihood when sharp-dressed pastor Childs is involved in a sex scandal! Sound familiar? Yeap, we heard this story before but never told through this lens.
The film offers a critique of the church while still honoring the transitions of the institution. The movie will make you think while delivering the comedic relief you need.
We caught up with the hilarious duo to talk about the inspiration, misconceptions, and how the church community will likely respond to the film.
Sterling and Regina are both booked and busy, with several new projects dropping this year, including the highly anticipated The Best Man: Final Chapters series coming to peacock in December. But for now, be sure to check out ‘HONK FOR JESUS. SAVE YOUR SOUL,’ which opens In Theaters and Streaming on Peacock on September 2, 2022.
‘Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul’ is executive produced by Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, along with Writer/Director Adamma Ebo.
