Prime Video shared the first look of the show called Vought Rising this Thursday. This series is considered the prequel to the Emmy Award-winning series The Boys. The internet buzz around the new cast member of the spin-off, Elizabeth Posey, who plays Private Angel, has not taken long to build.

The teaser gives a brief view of the series set in the 1950s. Elizabeth Posey’s new role has received numerous comments from fans.

For example, one person stated: “She’s gonna be super racist, isn’t she?” In response, another fan commented: “I don’t wanna be that person, but with a face like that, I get why Soldier Boy’s been kept in check for years, but for the Nazi with the lesbian haircut, nah, I don’t buy it.” A bit more negative response came from another fan: “Usually the hot ones like this either die young or end up a bit weird.” One other fan asked about what Posey would do, saying, “Okay. Are we betting on whether she’s going to be A) super racist or a raging lesbian? It’ll be one or the other because that’s how little imagination this writer’s room has.”

Stars and producers of Vought Rising include Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. The rest of the cast is as follows: Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.

The show’s plot is set in the early 1950s. It focuses on the origins of Vought International, an imaginary corporation central to The Boys universe. Paul Grellong serves as showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers of the series are Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, et al. It is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

According to the news, Vought Rising is expected to make its debut in 2027. This information arrives as The Boys prepares for the series finale of its fifth season, premiering on Friday on Prime Video.

In addition, all the shows set in the universe of The Boys stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
