Chris Brown fired back at music publication Pitchfork, which published a damning review of his latest album release, describing it as “a piece of s*it” and giving it a rating of 1.3 out of 10.
The artist’s twelfth studio album, Brown, was released on May 8th. While his latest release has drawn both praise and criticism, Pitchfork’s harsh review has drawn criticism from several of Brown’s supporters for its allegedly disrespectful language.
The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to make it clear where he stands on the publication.
“I don’t give a f*ck what these n*ggas is talking about,” he wrote in a video posted online. “I know exactly who my fans are, and I know exactly who’s hearing this album. If you’re not my fan, I don’t want you to listen to my shit. Go listen to motherf*cking Zara Larsson or something.”
While mentioning Zara Larsson may seem random, the artist’s mention caught fire since the pop sensation revealed just two months ago that she had blocked Chris Brown from Spotify because she does not listen to abusers.
Before Tuesday’s post, Brown had said that he thinks his album will be more enjoyable to audiences once it grows on them.
