Twitch streamer Morgpie tied a collar and leash around Jdab, another streamer, prompting discussion of the platform’s content policies again.
Morgpie puts the collar on Jdab, who appears shirtless, and encourages him to follow through with the act throughout the video. However, Jdab appeared uncomfortable throughout the video.
“I think I’m coping right now, I’m not going to lie,” Jdab admitted in the video.
Morgpie urged Jdab to stick to the moment, rather than thinking about the consequences. She said, “You are obsessed with your chat. Why can’t you just enjoy the moment with me?”
Once she saw that Jdab began to relax, Morgpie attempted to ease his mind and even offered to take the collar off if he felt uncomfortable. “You look so beautiful,” she continuously says in the video. “I can take off the collar if you don’t want me to wear this anymore. I just wanted you to try this out. I always do this.”
Some viewers noted the similarities in dynamics to pet play, which is a kink that involves the dominant and submissive dynamic.
The streamer has a history of creating controversial content, as seen when she had men wear gimp masks and shock collars during her stream.
Opinions on social media were mixed. Some thought it was funny; others expressed concerns that it promoted humiliating dynamics and pointed out how inconsistent Twitch was in applying its own policies across the site.
“Insane that this is allowed on Twitch,” one comment on the post reads. “If the roles were switched and a man was doing this, they’d immediately ban that person.”
Others took an entirely different approach, going after the streamer and the platform. “Streamers really need to start getting checked,” one commenter said. They also made remarks towards Dan Clancy, the CEO of Twitch. “Dan Clancy needs to stop being a weirdo and be consistent with the rules,” the commenter added.
It remains unknown whether Twitch will release a statement on the incident.
