“That ’70s Show” star Danny Masterson has commenced his prison term after being convicted of two rape charges. According to AP News, the 47-year-old actor has been admitted to North Kern State Prison, with authorities releasing his initial mug shot revealing him in prison attire, complete with long hair and a beard.

Masterson’s legal troubles culminated in June when he was found guilty of raping two women in his Los Angeles residence back in 2003. The severity of the charges led to a judge imposing a sentence of 30 years to life in prison during a September hearing. The aftermath saw Masterson’s nearly 12-year marriage to actor Bijou Phillips unravel, with Phillips filing for divorce in the weeks following the sentencing.

While awaiting his prison term, Masterson was held at the Los Angeles County jail, where post-sentencing hearings addressed various issues, including the relinquishment of all firearms owned by the actor. Some of these weapons required locating, adding to the complexity of the legal proceedings.

With parole eligibility set for more than 25 years from now, Masterson faces a lengthy period behind bars. The case has marked a dramatic fall from fame for the actor and raised broader questions about accountability and justice within the entertainment industry.
